Mr. Wood is President & Chief Executive Officer of Red Capital Partners, LLC and oversees principal lending and investing activities. Mr. Wood rejoined the firm after spending five years as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development of Angel City Factory, a Los Angeles based television production and intellectual property company, and its predecessor venture, Rocket Science Laboratories. Prior to his time in the media industry, Mr. Wood was responsible for the origination and structuring of investments, asset management, and investor reporting for RED’s housing and health care merchant banking/proprietary investment funds.
During his tenure in Hollywood, Mr. Wood provided advisory services to Rocket Science and its principals on corporate finance, business model, and strategic matters, including the 2009 sale of Angel City Factory to its Paris-based parent company and the relaunch of the business. Mr. Wood’s professional experience also includes fifteen years of investment and commercial banking activity. His accomplishments while at RED CAPITAL GROUP, LLC included directing the investment of over $750 million of proprietary capital in opportunistic bridge loans, mezzanine financings and equity investments. Mr. Wood’s commercial banking experience came at Bank One, Columbus N.A. where he managed a construction and income property loan portfolio across multiple asset classes. Mr. Wood holds a BBA degree and an MBA from Ohio University.
