Ms. Thompson joined Red Mortgage Capital, LLC in July 1996 and quickly rose to the position of Senior Managing Director. Sheri shares management oversight responsibilities for Red’s Fannie Mae DUS loan underwriting department and works directly with Fannie Mae, clients, and Red’s origination staff to structure new loans. She is a member of Red’s Mortgage Loan Committee and serves as lead banker for some of Red’s key customer accounts. She has been directly involved in underwriting more than $3 billion of multifamily and seniors housing loans during her tenure with Red Mortgage Capital, LLC. Ms. Thompson has structured and funded loans and credit facilities for multi-asset portfolios, conventional multifamily housing, seniors housing, low-income housing tax credits and bonds as well as other types of commercial real estate. She has been involved with virtually all of Fannie Mae’s DUS programmatic loan programs as well as working directly with Fannie Mae to pioneer new loan structures, specifically the Structured ARM product. In addition to her Fannie Mae DUS experience, Ms. Thompson is a MAP Underwriter and is involved with structuring and underwriting Red portfolio loans, FHA loans, and Red mezzanine debt. Ms. Thompson holds a BS degree in Real Estate and Business Law from The Pennsylvania State University. In addition, Ms. Thompson is a member of the Urban Land Institute Multifamily Council, works on ULI’s Urban Plan program, and is a Make-A-Wish Wishgranter.
