Mr. Hinga joined RED CAPITAL GROUP, LLC in February 2002. He co-directs Business Development for the firm, which includes origination activities such as customer and prospective customer calling and special event planning. Mr. Hinga spends the majority of his time outside of the office keeping in touch with existing clients and prospecting for new relationships both in Central Ohio and surrounding markets. He has over twenty-eight years of experience in commercial real estate, community development, and public finance. Prior to joining RED CAPITAL, Mr. Hinga was the President of Banc One Community Development Corporation (BOCDC). He was also Manager of Lending and Investments for BOCDC, with direct responsibility for the entire lending and equity investment process. Beginning in 1993, he specialized in the underwriting and structuring of low income housing tax credit projects for Bank One Columbus’ Community Development Division. Before joining Banc One in 1990, he worked in public finance with Prescott, Ball & Turben and Cranston Securities and spent five years with Huntington National Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President and Manager of Commercial Real Estate Lending. Mr. Hinga began his Real Estate Lending career with Bank of America in Santa Clara California in 1977. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame in 1973, and his MBA from The Ohio State University in 1983. He is presently serving on the board of the National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders (NAAHL) and the Ohio Housing Council (OHC).
