Mr. Dixon is Senior Managing Director and Co-General Counsel of RED CAPITAL GROUP, LLC and serves on RED’s Executive committee and Board of Managers. Prior to RED, Mr. Dixon was engaged in the practice of law and was president of Dixon Representation, Ltd. in Virginia where he founded a specialized business brokerage firm, providing buyers’ representation offering M&A and advisory services in consolidating markets. In his legal practice, Mr. Dixon most recently negotiated several restructurings of a multi $mm syndicated money-center bank debt, highly complex sales of several business entities and sale-leaseback permanent financings of seventy operating properties in ten states with public and private REITS. From 1977 to 1987, Mr. Dixon was a partner with the Washington, D. C. firm of Haynes & Miller, where he served as tax and securities law counsel to underwriters in over $2 billion in public and private debt offerings. Mr. Dixon’s tax practice involved corporate clients, including several Fortune 500 companies with matters such as acquisitions, divestitures, creation of foreign subsidiaries and strategic tax planning. From 1975-1977, Mr. Dixon served as law clerk to Judge Wm. Drennen, U.S. Tax Court. He currently holds several Bar Memberships including Florida, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Virginia, Montana, and is awaiting admission to the state of Ohio. Mr. Dixon received his bachelor’s degree from Kent State University, an LL. M degree in Taxation Law from the University of Florida Law School, and graduated with his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University Law.
