Mr. Chapman is responsible for the capital markets activities of Red Capital Markets, Inc., including the distribution of the firm’s multifamily, health care, and asset backed securities, as well as management of its position risks and its multifamily mortgage arbitrage portfolios. A founding partner of the investment banking broker/dealer Meuse, Rinker & Chapman in 1981, Mr. Chapman has been active in underwriting, trading and selling taxable and tax-exempt securities for over 25 years. Upon the sale of the broker/dealer business in 1990 to Bank One, Mr. Chapman became head of Banc One Capital’s capital markets activities ultimately directing a sales and trading force which numbered approximately 75 professionals. Mr. Chapman had overall responsibility for the distribution of Banc One Capital Market’s fixed income products, its risk management, and its mortgage bond and municipal bond arbitrage portfolios. Mr. Chapman was instrumental in creating a multifamily mortgage backed securities arbitrage strategy which has consistently made money over 15 years. He has served as a member of RED CAPITAL GROUP’S Executive Committee since its inception.
